THE COMMON GUIDE: Ring Sizing
Ring Sizing Guide
There are two common ways to find your perfect ring fit.
Method 1: The Ring Test
What you will need:
- A ring
- A ruler
Step 1. Take an existing ring you already use that fits well.
Step 2. Using a ruler, measure the inside diameter of the ring from edge to edge in millimeters.
Step 3. Use the below chart to find your corresponding ring size. If it falls between 2 sizes, we advise you to order the larger size.
Method 2: The String Test
What you will need:
- A piece of paper or string of ribbon.
- A ruler
- A pen
Before you begin, make sure your finger is at its normal size when you measure. Cold weather can cause your fingers to shrink, while heat, alcohol, water retention, and salt can cause your fingers to swell.
Step 1. Cut a piece of string or paper, and wrap it snugly around your desired finger at the base of the knuckle.
Step 2. Using a pen, mark where the ends meet.
Step 3. Measure your finger a few more times to make sure the length is correct.
Step 4. Lay the string flat, and using a ruler measure the length in millimeters.
Step 5. Use the below chart to find your corresponding ring size.
